Food Plant: Populus tremula (Aspen)

Mine: early Summer (May-July)

Notes: An uncommon miner. Makes large reddish-brown mines, which can occupy the leaf (as shown above). Frass is ejected from the mine by the larva.

An later mine is shown and the larva can be seen just right of centre.
