Mine: April-August

Pupa: Under a membrane on the margin of leaf

Notes: A 'snail-trail'-like mine on the upper surface, long and sinuous, without any visible frass. The mine can sometimes cover most of the leaf. There may be three or four generations a year and mines may be found on either surface of the leaf. The larvae on the lower leaf surface have unpigmented thoracic plates, whereas those on the upper surface have them pigmented (Jordan,Langmaid & Doorenweerd (2016) . The pupal cremaster is shown.
