Food Plant: Populus nigra (Black Poplar), + var. italica (Lombardy Poplar).

Egg: Usually underside of the leaf

Mine: June, August

Pupa: Under a membrane on the margin of leaf

Notes: A 'snail-trail'-like mine on the upper surface, long and sinuous, without any visible frass. The mine can sometimes cover most of the leaf. Note the larva top right in the mine. The mine is on Lombardy Poplar.
