Food Plant: Rosaceous trees/shrubs especially Crataegus (Hawthorn), Malus (Apple).

Mine: July, September - October

Notes: The mine is in the upper epidermis of a leaf, usually over midrib or vein. The mine is at first silvery, later with brown speckling (as shown).
