Notes: The initial mine is towards the leaf tip but then it changes direction to form an elongated blotch, which may occupy half the width of a leaf. The greenish or grey frass mostly is found in the early part of the mine. The mine is yellow white to grey. Found in wet bogs or on acid heaths. Habitat with Carex riparia and Carex acutiformis where mines found on both hosts, E. alpinella, E. poae and M. arundinetella are also present here.
