Food Plant: Populus canescens (Grey Poplar) Egg: Laid on the petiole. Mine: July - October Notes: A
gall in petiole, later mine in leaf-blade, in “green island”.
An egg may be laid either side of the petiole and two mines subsequently
develop - this leads to two green islands (these may not be so
conspicuous). The larva is yellow green and shown in dorsal view (top
