Food Plant: Arrhenatherum elatius (False Oat Grass), Holcus mollis (Creping Soft-grass), Phleum bertoloniii (Smaller Cat's-tail), Schedonorus arundinaceus (Tall Rye Grass) Egg: on a leaf Mine: December-April Notes: Makes a variable width broad flat transparent mine which may occupy the whole leaf. The sparse frass is greyish and scattered. The larva may mine both upwards and downwards in a leaf and readily changes leaves.
