Food Plant: Luzula sylvatica (Great wood-rush)

Notes: The mine formed is long, inflated and puckers the leaf surface. The larva often swaps leaves.Occurs in South West England, from Monmouthshire in Wales and the East of Scotland. Mines found on Luzula pilosa will probably be E.tengstromi. The egg is laid on the upperside of the leaf and remains in place at the start of some mines, here on Luzula sylvatica.
