forms a mine at the tip of pinna

 

Food Plant: Pteridium (Bracken), Dryopteris, recorded from Athyrium (Lady Fern)elsewhere.

Mine: Univoltine: summer.

Notes: An upperside blotch at the tip of a pinna lobe. Locally common in shady places. In Autumn a similar mine is made on Bracken - Chirosia flavipennis
