Food Plant: Sorbus torminalis (Wild Service-tree)

Notes: The mine has linear frass almost throughout which is less than a 1/3 of the mine width. The early mine is angular and has regular straight margins (van Nieukerken & Robrecht, 2025). There may be several mines in a leaf. The larva is yellow, often appearing whitish, with a black head. Known only from one corner of a wood in Tarrington, Herefordshire, in c1910 and is presumed extinct.
