Mine: June - July, end August - October

Notes: A Gallery completely without coiled frass, egg on underside against mid-rib amongst hairs in angle with vein (this distinguishes it from S.hemargyrella, which has the egg away from the midrib.) The larva is yellow, dark head and prothoracic plate.  The presence of this miner may sometimes be seen in the 'green islands' formed (as shown).
