< back
mine showing double occupancy

Food Plant: Lonicera periclymenum (Honeysuckle)

Mine: June-August

Pupa: On the bark in a cocoon

Notes: Forms a large transparent blotch mine - with a central spot, where the frass collects. This spot is usually red-brown. Found in partly open woodland. The mines may have double occupancy (as shown). This occurs occasionally and is not the result of mines merging during development.
