Food Plant: Chamaenerion angustifolium (Rosebay Willowherb Mine: May-June; July-August Notes: The first generation makes a spindle shaped gall , usually in the flowering part of the stem (as shown). Several galls may be formed in a stem. The second genration may make a gall but are commonly found in a seedpod, where a small hole is formed. They leave the seedpod to pupate on the ground.
