Food Plant: Epilobium alsinifolium (Chickweed Willowherb), Epilobium montanum (Broad-leaved Willowherb), Epilobium palustre (Marsh Willowherb), Epilobium lanceolatum (Spear-leaved Willowherb)

Egg: The egg is laid on the midrib

Mine: September - May, July

Pupa: In a white cocoon, which is attached to vegetation or leaf litter

Notes: Blotches are made in the leaves, usually low on the plant. Mine shown on E.montanum which shows the dark headed larva.
