Food Plant: Crataegus (Hawthorn), Malus (Apple), Sorbus (Whitebeam/Rowan), occasionally other Rosaceae. Egg: Underside of leaf Mine: August-September Pupa: In a silken cocoon, usually on detritus Notes: A circular or oval brownish blotch with a central spiral of dense blackish frass.
