Food Plant: Crataegus (Hawthorn), Malus (Apple), Sorbus (Whitebeam/Rowan), occasionally other Rosaceae (Rose). Egg: Underside of leaf Mine: August-September Pupa: In a silken cocoon, usually on detritus Notes: A circular or oval brownish blotch with a central spiral of dense blackish frass. The larva is pale green with a dark head (as shown in ventral view (top) and dorsal view) - top photo. It is shown in dorsal view (middle photo) and dorso-lateral view (bottom photo).
