Food Plant: Various Rosaceae /Betula (Birch). Egg: Laid inside the cuticle of a leaf Mine: May; July; September-October Pupa: In a silken cocoon suspended from threads attached to food plant or other vegetation (as shown). Notes: A long, whitish smoothly-curved upper-surface mine with broken black frass. The deeply segmented larva and lack of obvious egg-case at the start of the mine help distinguish this from Nepticulid mines. Mine shown on Rowan.
