Food Plant: Ribes spp particularly R.rubrum (Redcurrant) and R.uva-crispa (Gooseberry)

Notes: The larva feeds intially in the green fruit then hibernates in a crevice in the bark in a cocoon. The presence of the larva is detected in the spring as it feeds in developing shoots (as shown) which causes the leaves to wilt. A very rare moth in the UK. Found particularly in damp woodland.
