Notes: The initial mine is towards the leaf tip but then it changes direction to form an elongated blotch, which may occupy half the width of a leaf (as shown). The greenish or grey frass mostly is found in the early part of the mine. The mine is yellow white to grey. Found in wet bogs or on acid heaths. Habitat where mines were found in good numbers on Carex riparia growing in a clearing in wet woodland.
