Food Plant: Avenula pubescens (Downy Oatgrass ), Bromopis erecta (Upright Brome), Koeleria macrantha (Crested hair-grass), other grasses too. Egg: on the leaf Mine: April-May; July Notes: Makes a flat narrow mine, at first a yellow-green colour and later turning purplish. Found in dry basic grassland. When mining Bromopis erecta this species often pupates at the base of the mined leaf, as here. Adult reared and gen. det. by Peter Hall.
