Food Plant: Quercus (Oak) Egg: Lower surface of the leaf Mine: October - November Notes: A small, contorted gallery, in “green island” often many in one leaf. There are two mines in the leaf above, in the green islands(note also the mine of Bucculatrix ulmella - centre, above midrib). Larva yellow, with green gut-line and dark brown head.
