Food Plant: Quercus ilex (Evergreen Oak), Q.canariensis (Algerian Oak), Q. x crenata (Spanish Oak), Q. x hispanica (Spanish Oak), Q.humilis, Q.suber (Cork Oak) Elsewhere: Q.alnifolia (Golden Oak of Cyprus) Mine: November to April Pupa: In a cocoon between the leaves, in captivity Notes: Known initially from Greater London - now spreading through Southern England. In Europe it is known from islands and countries bordering the Mediterranean such as Sicily, Italy, Corsica, Cyprus, Greece and Croatia. The larva is a pale colour.
