Food Plant: Rubus fruticosus (Bramble)   

Egg: Upper surface of the leaf

Mine: October - April

Notes: A gallery filled with frass, leading to blotch. The mined area is purple-stained. A coastal species. A mature larva in an extensive mine, initially following a vein, then the midrib downwards before moving out into the leaf, where it still follows the midrib and then a vein, finally expanding into a blotch.
