Food Plant: Fragaria (Strawberry), Potentilla sterilis (Barren Strawberry).

Mine: August - October

Notes: A contorted gallery with brown coiled frass which later becomes a blotch with dispersed frass. Larva yellowish-white with green gut-line. Habitat where larvae were found mining Fragaria vesca growing in deep shade under hazels by the edge of an old track through woodland on chalk downland.
