Notes: Mining starts in the autumn and one or two larvae may mine a leaf. The mine starts at the leaf tip or is directed to this, with frass packed at the beginning of the mine. After hibernation a new leaf is mined downwards forming a broad irregular, whitish gallery mine. Pupation occurs on the ground. Found in sheletered woodland glades. The larva is shown in dorsal (top photo) and lateral view (bottom photo).
