Notes: Mining starts in the autumn and one or two larvae may mine a leaf. The mine starts at the leaf tip or is directed to this, with frass packed at the beginning of the mine (as shown in central leaf, adult reared to confirm identification , emerged 01.v.2022). After hibernation a new leaf is mined downwards forming a broad irregular, whitish gallery mine. Pupation occurs on the ground. Found in sheletered woodland glades. Mine shown on Deschampsia cespitosa (Tufted Hair-grass)
