Food Plant: Inula conyza (Ploughman's-spikenard) Mine: April-May Notes: Mines the lower leaves, making them hollow. The mine is along the midrib and broadens into a blotch. The larva is seen above - it retreats into the midrib as soon as it is disturbed. Pupates in the base of the leaf. Found locally on chalk downs in Southern England.
