Food Plant: Food Plant: Ulmus (Elm), Betula (Birch), Alnus (Alder), Corylus (Hazel) and others Mine: late September to late October, then April to early June. Notes: First case formed of a leaf fragment, larva mining leaves. New case formed after feeding restarts in spring. The autumn case has been vacated and the larva is in the leaf prior to cutting the leaf edge to form the spring case. The case is on Birch.
