Notes: The final case is slender and about 9mm long and a light ochreous-brown. The mines rapidly become darker after formation. Pupation occurs on the plant stem. A scace species in England but more common in the Burren, Ireland. Open woodland habitat with large quantities of Solidago virgaurea growing along a coppiced ride edge. Several larval cases were found in the area in the foreground.
