Notes: The inital mine leads to a Phyllonorycter blotch on the undersurface of the leaf. The larva then rolls the edge of the leaf, making two or more rolls. The larva has two distinct forms and habits - the first phase is a sap feeding phase and the second is tissue feeding (Heckford, 2021). The first phase larva is shown in an exposed mine. This form makes a gallery, with some frass and has a flattened head; the body being flattened dorsoventrally.
