Food Plant: Trifolium repens (White Clover)

Mine: July-May

Notes: The larva feeds on ripening seeds and makes a case from the floret (as shown) and is fully fed by early August. The prothoracic plate (as shown) has a darker hind edge, which extends for a quarter of the plate (this distinguishes it from Coleophora frischella it extends to half the plate.
