Food Plant: Calluna vulgaris (ling), Erica cinerea (Heather)

Mine: September to April.

Notes: The case is small (4mm long) and consists of leaves arranged in a herring-bone pattern (as shown above). Feeding may occur throughout the winter. The cases are best found in the spring, by sweeping.
