Food Plant: Ulmus (Elm)

Mine: September - May

Notes:  It initially forms a gallery along the midrib, which then goes out along a vein (see photo). The end of this gallery is then excised to construct the first case. It then feeds close to this and makes several small mines. The cut-outs here are larger than described in MBGBI, being 6mm long (with the larger being 9mm) but the only other species, Col. limosipennella, in MBGBI that does this on Elm has much smaller cut-outs
