Food Plant: Tilia (Lime)

Mine: July - August

Notes: A narrow mine almost filled with black frass, usually following leaf-vein. The cocoon is formed either on the trunk of the tree or in leaf litter.  

The pupa over winters in the cocoon and can be seen in lateral and ventral view here. Note the projections on the anal segments.
