Food Plant: Crataegus (Hawthorn), Malus (Apple), Pyrus (Pear), Sorbus (Whitebeam/Rowan).

Egg: Upper surface of leaf

Mine: July -August

Notes: A short contorted gallery, near midrib or side-vein. Mine shown on hawthorn. The larva has freshly emerged from the mine and is 1.5-2.0 mm long. It has a brown head.
