Food Plant: Quercus (Oak)

Egg: Upper surface of leaf

Mine: May - June

Pupa: In silken cocoon amongst detritus; occasionally inside mine.

Notes: A silvery sinuous gallery on the upper side, leading to a large, papery blotch. Sometimes several galleries lead to the same blotch. The larva has a pale yellow-brown head and a row of dorsal grey spots (as shown). It turns pinkish-orange when mature.
