Food Plant: Solanum dulcamara (Bittersweet),S.laciniatum (Kangaroo Apple), S.lycopersicum (Tomato), Solanum tuberosum (Potato), Atropa belladonna (Deadly nightshade)

Mine: June, September

Notes: Bittersweet is the usual plant for this miner. The mines are usually found in shaded places. The cocoon is usually amongst debris. Large translucent mines are made and there may be several mines in a leaf. A larva is shown in the mine.
