Food Plant: Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore) Egg: laid in the centre of the leaf Mine: early Summer Notes: Forms a large central blotch mine, which rarely reaches the leaf edge. The pupa forms inside a disc in the mine, which is made furthest away from the leaf centre. First discovered in Kent in 2005. It is a scarce leaf miner in Europe. The prepupa is shown in ventral view (the ventral sclerotizations are just visible, as these are much diminished in the prepupal stage).
