Food Plant: Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore) only. Mine: Univoltine: early summer. Notes: A large, upper surface marginal blotch, usually going brown and usually with an excised hole, which is characteristic of Heterarthrus species. A widespread miner of Sycamore. The larva is pale green and has the characteristic Heterarthrus 'collar' on the prothorax, with two further spots on the meso and metathorax.
