Food Plant: Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore) only.

Mine: Univoltine: early summer.

Notes: A large, upper surface marginal blotch, usually going brown and usually with an excised hole, which is characteristic of Heterarthrus species. A widespread miner of Sycamore. The larva is pale green and has the characteristic Heterarthrus 'collar' on the prothorax, with two further spots on the meso and metathorax. Note also the faint pigmentataion on the dorsal surface of the prothorax.
