Food Plant: Alnus glutinosa (Alder) and other Alnus (Alder) spp.

Mine: Bivoltine - early summer onwards. Trivoltine in a good year.

Notes: A large, brown upper surface blotch, initially between veins and running towards the margin.Very common. The initail mine is between the veins but then may occupy adjacent areas of the leaf (as shown).

Pupa: Outside the mine.
