Food Plant: Juncus effusus (Soft Rush)

Notes: , A short gallery then widens and enters the stem where the larva feeds. Its presence is seen as it eats away the internal leayers of the stem and feeds on the pith forming a long irregular mine. It then exits the stem and feeds ecternally on the leaves. A common sawfly (Musgrove, 2023). The larva is shown in lateral and dorsal view (top to bottom photo).
