Food Plant: Cichorium intybus (Chicory), Crepis paludosa (Marsh Hawks-beard), Hieracium sp (Hawkweed),Taraxacum sp. (Dandelion) Mine: Summer, Autumn Notes: Forms a mine over the midrib, with side corridors leading off, which have feeding lines. The larva is shown (note the single rear spiraculum, characteristic of the Tephritidae) and may change leaves and then constructs a corridor mine. It pupates externally.
