Food Plant: Leontodon utumnalis (Autumn Hawkbit), Taraxacum officinale (Dandelion)

Mine: Spring, Summer

Notes: Forms a small, irregular, elongated blotch with few frass grains inside the mine. The larva leaves the mine to pupate and the exit slit through the upper epidermis, at the top of the blotch, can be seen. Widespread in the South of England. Also known from Scotland and Ireland.
