Food Plant: a very polyphagous species, preferring Compositae (Daisy spp.) Campanulae (Bellflower spp.) and other garden species.

Mine: early and late Summer

Pupa: outside the mine

Notes: A linear mine on the upper surface, usually following the midrib and showing side branches along the veins. The frass is in strings. A common species. Mine shown is on Lapsana communis (Nipplewort)
