Food Plant: A broadly polyphagous pest, though its preferred hosts tend to be in the Cucurbitaceae, Fabaceae and Solanaceae. Notes: Irregular serpentine mines. Liriomyza sativae
is a quarantine pest species, often intercepted at UK points of entry.
The species has
yet to be found in the UK, or indeed in Europe. Suspected outbreaks should
be reported to your local FERA Plant Health and Seeds Inspector (PHSI)
