Food Plant: A broadly polyphagous pest, though its preferred hosts tend to be in the Cucurbitaceae, Fabaceae and Solanaceae.

Notes: Irregular serpentine mines. Liriomyza sativae is a quarantine pest species, often intercepted at UK points of entry. The species has yet to be found in the UK, or indeed in Europe.
