Food Plant: Eupatorium cannabinum (Hemp Agrimony), Galeopsis tetrahit (Common Hemp-nettle), Solidago virgaurea (Golden-rod). Rarely on Aster, Helianthus (Sunflower), Lapsana (Nipplewort). Mine shown is on Galeopsis sp. The larva is present in the mine.

Mine: Bivoltine: late spring & summer. Posterior spiracles of larva (puparium) each with 3 bulbs.
