Food Plant: Anthyllis vulneraria (Kidney Vetch), Astragalus glycyphyllos (Wild Liquorice), Colutea arborescens (Bladder-senna), Galega officinalis (Goat's Rue), Lathyrus sp., Lathyrus japonicus (Sea Pea), L.montanus ( Bitter-vetch), L.odoratus (Sweet Pea), L.pratensis ( Meadow Vetchling), Lotus.corniculatus(Common Bird's-foot-trefoil), L.tenuis (Narrow-leaved Bird's-foot-trefoil), Medicago (Lucerne and Medicks), M.lupulina ( Black Medick), M.sativa ( Lucerne), Melilotus sp., M.officinalis (Ribbed Melilot), Pisum (Garden Pea), P.sativum(Garden Pea), Trifolium sp., (Clover), T.ochroleucon, T.pratense (Red Clover), T.repens(White Clover), Vicia sp.,(Vetches), V.benghalensis (Purple Vetch), V.cracca ( Tufted Vetch), V.faba (Broad Bean), V.sativa (Common Vetch), V.sepium (Bush Vetch).

Mine: early and late Summer

Notes: Forms an upper surface mine, which quickly widens and then stays about the same width, with the frass in a broad green central band. The larva is yellow. The above is the first record of this miner on Astragalus (Wild Liquorice). An early mine is shown.
