Food Plant: Sambucus spp.(Elder) Mine: Summer and early Autumn Notes: Forms an irregular upper surface blotch with conspicuous black frass. The above is unusual and appears to show that three mines have apparently merged to form a communal blotch - seen in more detail in the bottom photo.
