Food Plant: Luzula sylvatica (Greater Wood-rush)

Notes: The mines start near to a leaf tip and progress towards the leaf base, widening as they do so. They often double back and may reach 40cms long (Gibbs, 2003). The mines are a yellow-green colour when fresh (as shown). Pupariation usually occurs at the leaf base. The mines may be numerous in tussocks of Greater wood-rush.
